Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 21, 2026
1. Overview
AI.Wire ("we", "our", "the service") is an editorial news aggregator. We collect minimal personal information and do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. This policy describes what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
2. Information We Collect
Account data. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We use this solely to authenticate you and remember your preferences.
Preferences. Saved articles, hidden sources, and feed preferences are stored server-side and associated with your account.
Usage logs. Standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, timestamp) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging. We do not build user profiles from these logs.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking cookies are set. We do not use analytics pixels or fingerprinting scripts.
4. Third-Party Content
AI.Wire displays headlines and excerpts from third-party publishers. Each story links to its original source. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your email, saved articles, and preferences are permanently removed within 7 days. Anonymised log data may persist for up to 30 days in accordance with our server log rotation.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All traffic is served over HTTPS. We do not store payment information — AI.Wire has no paid tier.
7. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of AI.Wire after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
