Breaking the Likelihood Trap: Variance-Calibrated Modulation for Large Language Model Decoding
In open-ended generation, LLMs frequently fall into the "likelihood trap", marked by repetitive degeneration and vocabulary dullness, creating a discrepancy between machine-generated and human-written text.
